Job description

The Sales Director plays a pivotal role in overseeing, leading, and directing the Sales department of the regions managed by the regional office. This position involves defining sales goals and metrics that align with Motul's overall strategy, establishing key performance indicators (KPIs), and benchmarks to gauge team progress.

·        Develops and executing strategic sales plans to exceed assigned targets through multiple segments and channels.

·        Manages Sales Force with leadership, coaching to get best possible results and to ensure that the right resources are in place to deliver business strategy and facilitate career development and succession planning.

·        Builds strong long-lasting relationships with key customers, distributors and stakeholders.

·        Be actively involved in a new reseller's sales orientation and sales training programs with our distributor's sales force and our distributor's customers.

·        Creates strategic sales forecast for 1 year, 3 year, 5-year objectives.

·        Forecasts 1-year budgets and monitors accuracy, with solutions for course correction.

·        Analyze sales data and effectively present them to multi-level/ audience.

·        Monitors industry, customer trends to develop strategic plans of action.

·        Monitors the social, political, environmental to make suggestions on Motul’s market position.

·        Participates/Creates in contract terms to be validated by the GM for reseller, distributors

·        Acts as a resource to resellers in contract opportunities and building proposals within Motul Mexico guidelines and Sales policy.

·        Assists resellers with contract negotiations, closing the sale and developing marketing plans for contract accounts

·        Keeps informed of new products launching, coop marketing opportunities and sales incentives with sales force.

·        Checks on competitive activity and develops new methods of attaining resellers and assisting resellers in attaining new accounts.

·        Answers questions from resellers and handles complaints, within Motul Mexico guidelines and policy.

·        Observes processes and implements change to increase efficiency and maximize resources

·        Recruits, onboard, trains and manages the activity of the territorial Sales Force including administrative issues such as developing, reviewing, and administering training programs for staff, planning leave, etc.

·        Sets targets for the sales force and monitor achievement.

·        Performs other job-related duties and responsibilities that may be assigned.

Profile

Education / Qualification:    

(1) Bachelor or Masters’ Degree from University or Business School preferably in Business Sales, Marketing

Experience needed:            
+10 years’ experience with at least 5 years as a Sales Account Manager in the automotive industry

 Language:                            

(1) English: Mandatory

(2)   Spanish : Native

IT Knowledge:                     

(1) Microsoft Suite, Excellent skills in Excel

(2) ERP : SAP

(3) Power BI
